Traditionally, many wastewater treatment plants or other wastewater treatment enterprises use clarifiers or settling tanks in which particles, sediments and solids are gradually deposited at the bottom due to gravity. However, this settling is a very slow process and the results are not very controllable.
In order to accelerate the process, the decanter operation utilizes the principle of centrifugal force, a powerful centrifugal action capable of separating solid particles from suspensions depending on their density, and can be operated continuously. Solid-liquid separation can be controlled by adjusting the rotation speed.
