The situation

The Integrated Stormwater Pumping Station project is located at the Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway interchange section of the Qingpu District River Delta. The project is located at the north-south direction of the interchange under the shanghai-nanjing Expressway, with Baofeng Road in the north and Jihe Highway in the south. There are 3 water systems around, Xinkai River to the north, Nameless River to the south and Xintong Wave Pond to the east. At present, there is no perfect rainwater drainage system in the underpass interchange, and the water accumulation is serious in the rainstorm period. The project covers an area of 926.3 m in total length from Xinkai River in the north to Jihe Highway in the south. The content of the project is to retain the two existing drainage gullies of Jiasong Middle Road, to transform the drainage facilities within the lowest point of the Hump section of the road, that is, the drainage facilities of the underground gullies on both sides of the road, and to transform the existing 18 side stormwater outlets, a new design flow of 3M3/s under the overpass rainwater pumping station. 


The solution 

Integrated stormwater pumping stations usually have large stormwater flow during flood season, and the drainage efficiency and reliability of stormwater pumping stations are very critical factors, in view of this application request, we design the plan which is to use the parallel operation plan of 1 water distribution grid well and 3 pump station wells, which not only guarantees the flood season rainstorm impact but also guarantees the pump station reliable operation, it is difficult to choose 3800mm * 7800mm * 4 project with the designed rainwater flow of 1m3/s for each pumping station because of its low budget, small area, large construction difficulty and short construction period. Because it is a drainage project running in parallel through multi-shafts in the overpass section, it is difficult for large-scale heavy equipment to enter the field, the lifting time is short, the equipment of integrated pump station is heavy, and it is connected with the embedded parts and so on, the equipment supplier and the construction unit have strong equipment installation and commissioning experience, the equipment supplier and the construction unit have maintained the sufficient communication coordination and the plan preparation work, has ensured the installation and commissioning work to carry on smoothly, has obtained the owner's full affirmation and the trust.
